Bonus Day Three Of The Six Week Profit Plan

The Six Week Profit Plan

A picture of the slide Steve uses to promote his course called The Six Week Profit Plan

If you’ve completed all the lessons, you should have enough practice to now be able to sit down and write a persuasive letter –

whether a sales letter or an email letter or a letter to a friend or partner, from the top of your head –

and use the persuasive, rapport building components to lead your reader to the natural conclusion of taking the action you recommend –

if indeed it is a good fit for that person!

Now think about this, now that you can write persuasively,

And you think about the parts of your business that we’ve discussed

  • Daily email
  • Daily blog post
  • Daily video
  • Daily subscriber attraction
  • Daily product creation

Notice you are already doing nearly all the things you need to do!

The way it all fits together, is that someone becomes a subscriber, they get your daily email,

they are sequentially presented, via email, the opportunity to invest in your first product,

then sequentially presented, via email, the opportunity to invest in your second product

and then as you create new products, perhaps one per quarter, as I have done approximately on average for the last five years.

each time you add a new product, you promote it live to your list, then you add it to your email campaign for all future subscribers to be automatically presented.

And as you do some daily product creation each day, and then as you complete products, you write the sales letter based on the formula you’ve internalised from the writing lessons.

And you are writing a daily email to your list for two reasons:

  1. to help them (that’s why they are on your list, right?)
  2. and to build rapport, so when you truthfully tell them your new training program or membership or coaching program will change their lives, they believe you and they buy it.

Do you see how what I just wrote in the last three paragraphs completely summarises the implementation of your business, and how very simple that is?

It all fits together

Your topic leads to subscribers, leads to daily email leads to products, training, memberships, coaching leads to buyers leads to you changing lives and getting paid for it.

And all those things happen daily, nothing spectacular has to happen, just the following:

  • daily subscriber attraction
  • daily email
  • daily blog post
  • daily video
  • daily product creation
  • sell new products as you release them, and add them to your automated email campaign for future subscribers

and the good old rinse and repeat

The more you do that cycle (daily, weekly, monthly) the more people get helped, the more money you make, the more interaction you have with your clients

Nothing new has to happen

If a new fad comes out, a new business model, a new traffic source, a new shiny push button something or other, you don’t have to join the buzz or do the bright shiny object dance.

You simply keep doing what you are doing, you can calmly ask yourself if you want to test the new shiny object but you don’t replace your whole business with it.

You simply bolt it on to your already-running-well business and test if it helps or hurts and if it hurts (it usually either hurts or adds no value, so why do it) and if it helps and you like it and it helps your clients and helps you grow:

maybe you decide to keep it, maybe you don’t.

Many people ask me my strategy for not getting carried away with all the latest, greatest must have shiny objects

And that’s it right there!

So, getting down to work

Out of the things we’ve discussed you need to have the business you want (here’s that same old boring list again!!!):

  • persuasive, personalised writing
  • attracting people who need what you have, to join your list
  • creating training to provide the solutions to your subscribers
  • daily email, daily blog post, daily video
  • daily accountability and structure

You already know or are doing:

  • persuasive, personalised writing
  • attracting people who need what you have, to join your list
  • creating training to provide the solutions to your subscribers (almost)
  • daily email, daily blog post, daily video
  • daily accountability and structure

You are going to simply keep doing that

keep doing the writing lessons

keep writing a daily email, daily blog post, and keep recording a daily video

continue to use daily accountability and structure

So the key areas you still need to develop are:

  1. finish the writing lessons so you can write persuasively and naturally
  2. attracting subscribers
  3. continue adding diversity to your training programs (for example, by adding a coaching program)

and one more I’ll dig into:

  • daily structure and accountability
whatever works and triggers inside you, the one thing, DEEP

And once you have those items, combined with everything you are already implementing from the lessons

I declare to you that you have the knowledge, the pieces, the know-how, to run a profitable information or coaching business.

Review

Continue with your daily schedule, add in subscriber attraction (aka traffic) and perhaps add a coaching program,

First, the writing lessons

Second, the traffic/subscriber acquisition:

So far, everything you have done in building your business is logical and straightforward.

  • Daily email, blog post, video.
  • Create products and training.
  • Create your website.
  • Create your giveaway and squeeze page.

All those things are straightforward and for the most part, one size fits all.

And now we come to traffic.

There is no one size fits all.

It’s not straightforward.

Although it’s not literally different for everyone, finding out what works personally for YOU can be a challenge.

And it’s not a straight-line challenge.

It can wind all over the place.

It’s not easy.

It’s not easy understanding what works and why.

And the biggest problem is that what works for your nearest competitor, next door neighbour, and any other business or person you know may not (more likely, probably won’t) work for you exactly the way they do it.

And the ONLY way to figure out what works for YOU and YOUR business is start with some premises, then test it, try it out, figure out what works –

and if something isn’t working, determine how much effort you want to put into making that work (maybe), and then determining when it is time to try something else.

There is a balance between trying too hard on something that won’t work.

And giving up too soon.

And there is no straight answer.

Just like raising children, everyone is different, and although you may have a parenting style if you have three children, you KNOW that you have to amend it for each.

There is no one-size fits all formula for communicating with wives/husbands, what works for you may or may not work for me and what works for me, may or may not work for you.

And the only way to learn it, is to do it, to use experience and wisdom to hone what works, make changes, take advice, trial and error – I could go on and on.

And traffic generation (which leads to the big thing: subscriber acquisition) is just like that.

It’s not easy.

It’s not straight-line.

It will take trial and error.

What works for your best friend likely won’t work for you.

What works for me probably doesn’t work for you.

What works for the number one (fill in the blank: Instagram, Facebook, articles, PPC, and a million more) expert won’t work for you exactly out of the box.

Sure, do principles matter?

Of course, if you are going to use Instagram or Facebook or article or PPC, or a million other places to round up prospects and get them to your squeeze page.

you need to learn the basics of how to do it, for that source.

But after that, you simply have to get in there, be prolific, and figure out what works for YOU.

I KNOW that’s not what you want to hear.

And I understand why you want to hear something different.

Hey, I want to hear something different.

Think about it, there are millions of profitable online businesses in the world.

But only a few thousand or more that really master the volume.

And if you want to go to the next level, there is one thing you must master and that is where do YOUR subscribers come from?

I’ll repeat that

If you want to go to the next level, there is one thing you must master and that is where do YOUR subscribers come from?

You see, everything else in the business, you don’t even have to be especially good at it, just do it like I shared (or someone else shares who knows how to do it).

There’s a pretty basic, general way to do these things and if they work, they work:

writing a daily blog post, recording a daily video, creating training, running a coaching program,

And as you may have discovered, you have all those components, but no business.

And what happens often is that when that happens, you quit the business and start another.

And the same thing happens.

But the common element across all the failed businesses is often:

as simple as this:

  • not enough lead flow
  • not enough traffic (highly targeted traffic of people who need what you offer)
  • not enough new, real, subscribers coming onto your list so you can talk with them and find out what they need so you can provide it.

In all my years of business, it is very rare for me to encounter someone who gets many new subscribers from legitimate sources, month in and month out, and can’t monetise them.

The core single biggest challenge across the board, if you are doing everything else, even partially right, daily email, monthly new product, write persuasively, is, in my opinion is a lack of new subscribers.

And it’s the hardest thing to figure out.

But you have to figure it out.

You cannot give up.

You cannot quit on it.

You cannot say, this is too hard, then go start something else.

If you aren’t going to find a way to figure it out – and you quit

You might as well stay quit!

Don’t start anything else until you are committed to figuring out what it takes to get your own subscriber flow!!

This is really important, and that’s why I’m making a big deal about it!

So let’s dig into where to find YOUR subscribers.

The very first and most important thing is to find out where they are already hanging out online.

They must already be hanging out online somewhere, or you aren’t going to be able to market to them online.

They are already looking somewhere for information because they have the needs you solve.

And if they aren’t looking – then they don’t think it’s a problem.

This first phase of finding out where they are and where they are looking is totally critical.

And you can take five years and dozens of traffic sources to find it out with trial and error.

Or you can take one day or 15 days or 30 days and do it the hard way, and find them.

Then once you find them, you can scale, scale, scale.

Unfortunately, there is no easy path, no matter what anyone says.

Of course, you can start by just buying traffic, but 9 times out of 10, that doesn’t work right off the bat.

It takes time and trial and error and usually lots of testing to find out exactly what keywords convert to subscribers who buy, and so on.

But you must do it!

I hope you got real benefit from the Six Week Profit Plan and that by working on all parts of your business in a structured way, on a consistent basis, you can see that it gives you a real business and now you no longer have to keep looking for the next shiny object

As I said right at the start, this is hard work, really hard work

So congratulations on making it this far.

You should give yourself a pat on the back.

But then when you have, get right back to work and remember

the only place where success comes before work is in a dictionary

Best wishes

The Six Week Profit Plan

The Six Week Profit Plan is laid out as a daily lesson, which is a good thing, due to how much work there is to do

However you can choose to go much faster or slower, depending on your own needs.

Don't put yourself under any pressure to get this all done in a day or so, that might be the temptation but it's not really the best way.
