Ask yourself what you can make money from, as well as which topics engage and excite you the most.

If customer reviews are particularly positive and they describe great quality and satisfaction, you know that the company is trustworthy and offers a high standard in their services.
Make sure to check social media, as well as customer product review sites, to get an accurate representation of customer experience.
Just beware of only visiting other affiliate review sites, most of them just want a commission and they’re not too bothered about the review or rating they give the product…
if the products they recommend are all ranked highly, you will know why. cha-ching!
Also it’s worth knowing that by doing your product research properly it will help make sure you are promoting a reputable product or service, which in turn will help you have a lower refund rate and less of a loss of your Affiliate commissions.
Promote products from multiple companies
Don’t just promote your chosen products from just one company, try and promote the same product or services from multiple companies.
This will give your audience more choice, you can write comparisons between the various products, and it will make it more likely that your reader will find a product that they’re actually interested in buying.
and you will make more money.
Build a strong relationship with your audience
If you want to be successful at affiliate marketing, you need to build a strong relationship with your audience.
You need to become a trusted source of information and promote products that your audience will actually want to buy.
I make a point of only promoting products or services that I have used in my own business, and even then I don’t promote them all.
Be transparent about your affiliate links
It’s important that you are transparent about the fact that you are using affiliate links.
If you try to hide your affiliate links, people will be less likely to click on them, and they may even distrust you.
This is a path to low commissions.
You can financially benefit from your audience by being open and honest about any affiliate links you include!
When people click on a link that they know was provided for compensation, instead of feeling mislead or cheated, it can cultivate trust between reader and creator, leading to bigger commissions.

Whatever form your content takes, make sure that it is high quality and informative.
Share your personal experience of using the product, how did it help, what was good, what wasn’t so good. Don’t be scared to be honest about your own experience.
If you write what you truly believe then it will come over in your review.
And when your reader can relate to you they are more likely to come back again in future.
Use A Call To Action Even As An Affiliate
Make sure you include well thought out links to the products and services so that your readers can learn more about them or purchase them if they’re interested.
If you’re trying to persuade your readers to buy a product or service, it’s important to make sure they have easy access to learn more about it.
Write a good reason why someone should click on your affiliate link, don’t just write ‘click here‘
Make sure that each link provides compelling reasons for them click and explore further.
Entice curiosity by giving interesting facts or unique advantages associated with following through on those links.
By doing so, you can help generate more interest and will help turn buyer curiosity into a sale.
Promote your content
Once you’ve created some great content, it’s time to start promoting it.
Most people will tell you to share it on social media, email it to your list, and even reach out to other bloggers in your niche and see if they’ll share it with their audience.
If you have an audience then it makes sense to tell them about it, no need to keep it a secret.
But I think it’s different for everyone and I think it’s a personal choice.
I don’t post my content anywhere other than on my website and then I let Google Search Console know that I have published new content.
It’s probably a slower route but it’s served me well over the years and I only ever have to focus on writing content.
Luckily a lot of what I write ranks well enough without all the social sharing.
But it’s your choice.
Track your results
It’s important to track your results so that you can see what’s working and what isn’t.
This way you can adjust things as needed
Check your analytics regularly to see how much traffic you’re getting and whether or not people are converting into sales.
But don’t get sucked into this too much or you will find that you spend more time looking at charts than you do creating more content.
I can honestly share that I have made absolutely zero dollars from the unfinished blog posts and info products on my hard drive.
All of my affiliate earnings come from my published content…funny that!
Make adjustments
Joking aside, if you’re not seeing the results that you want, don’t be afraid to make adjustments to your strategy.
Ever heard the saying ‘if you keep doing what you’ve always done, then you’ll keep getting what you’ve always got‘
Don’t be scared to mix things up
Try different types of content or different products and services until you find what works best for you and your audience…and then do more of it.
Be patient

Affiliate marketing is a longer game.
It does take time and effort, but it can be a great way to earn passive income if done correctly.
I crossed out the word passive because you have to do the work before you see any results.
But be patient and keep at it, monitor what is working and what is not, adjust accordingly and eventually you’ll start to see the results you’re looking for!
and if not, some people will make no money at all, you will have learned a few things along the way.
