Lesson 16: Website Work

Now that your basic site is created, you can start adding content to it.

So today, you are going to start using those 10 x 10 daily posts you’ve been writing

Today, choose one of the 10 x 10 matrix posts you’ve been writing, and create a post with it.

If you aren’t familiar with creating posts

Inside The WordPress Collection section on my website there are videos that will show you how to do most of the things you need to know about WordPress at this stage.

But here’s a quick how to:

Just login to your WordPress dashboard, scroll down the left of the dashboard to where it says, Posts,

click on that, then click create post and make the title of your post the same as the title in the 10 x 10 matrix line,

then copy and paste the content from your first 10 x 10 matrix post into the body of it, then hit “save

You can, if you want, create a category (on the right side of the post is a box that says category – you can type a category there,

this will put this new post into a category (name it so that it corresponds with the name of your 10 x 10 matrix topic will make the most sense)

Can you see how the matrix saves you so much time once it’s done

Lesson 16: 10 x 10 Matrix

Write your 10 x 10 page, then record your 10 x 10 writing assignment and upload to YouTube

Lesson 16: Writing Lesson

Like I discussed in depth in the last lesson, now that we have created an emotional, connecting framework and bond with our reader/prospect, we need to move to a place of showing that we are qualified to work with them, to teach them what they need to know.

There are two primary ways to do this:

  1. By telling them what our qualifications are
  2. By sharing with them how we have helped others just like them

Now, before we do this, we can also connect with them emotionally, by indicating that we have experienced the same thing they are now.

Now, the reason I present all three of these together is that you can use one, two or, or all three of these techniques in your selling

but they are not all necessarily critical at any one point in time.

For example, you might not have experienced what they are experiencing, so you may not be able to share that.

But perhaps you are qualified to help them, and you have helped others (and you can share that)

or perhaps you have been in their shoes, you have gotten out – and THAT is your qualification, you don’t have any special training except “been there, done that, figured it out, so I can help you by sharing what I figured out so you don’t have to”

And maybe you haven’t helped anyone else – or don’t care to use testimonials about how you have – and you build your credibility solidly on the fact that you have been there, done that.

Over the next couple of days, I want you to work on what each of those stories would look like for you….

I want you to write three paragraphs about how you have experienced what they are experiencing

for this exercise, even if you haven’t experienced it, imagine that you have, you need this exercise, but of course in real time, if you haven’t experienced it, you can’t say that you have.

Then write three paragraphs about your qualifications.

Then write three paragraphs about how you have helped others.

Note:

These paragraphs each need to stand- alone – it’s not a three paragraph explanation of how you have helped others, it is three separate paragraphs of how you have helped others, does that make sense?

Now – each paragraph can be longer than a few sentences – and can even be broken into paragraphs – but you still need to write three times for each part of this exercise.

That’s all for today

This is one of only a couple of lessons that will probably take longer than 20 minutes

Until next time
