Let the people who visit your site know they are appreciated and this will ensure they come back for more.
Always reply to comments left on your blog by leaving a reply underneath for the writer.
You can do this by going into WordPress comments, click ‘edit’, space down at the end of the comment, and type a response.
To make your response stand out, highlight it and put it in italics, (do this by clicking the little icon with an ‘i’ in it above the comment).
Alternatively hit the reply button under the original comment and type your reply.
Remember that this will appear as another comment on your counter!
Make time to visit other blogs and leave appropriate comments. Always make sure you have a signature with a link to your blog on the bottom of the comment.
Get a good auto responder and have an opt in box on your blog.
‘My personal choice is Active Campaign or Aweber’
Always use your auto responder to let your sign ups know you have made a new blog post.
This is essential as people will often not visit on a regular basis, but they most likely will visit if you tell them there is something new to read.
Always include your blog http:// address (url) in the email broadcast for your reader to click on.
This is important as they can access your new blog post immediately rather than having to look up a bookmark, or worse still finding they have deleted your web address.
Check your blog regularly to make sure it is working properly.
If readers visit and cannot get onto your blog because of errors, or they are faced with a blog that does not work properly, for example not accepting comments, not being able to view previous posts, clicking on things and not being taken where they want to go, they will move on and may not come back.
